Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
Recently I have been enjoying taking my easel and watercolours along for a bush walk. I then take these plein air sketches back to the studio and use them as a starting point for larger works on paper (or canvas). I am enjoying getting lost in the painting and letting go of the idea of a destination. The resulting work is a loose, expressive interpretation of the Australian bush.
This work is painted onto the finest quality cotton paper (very thick, so no rippling) and features a beautiful deckled edge on all sides.
The final image shows this work styled with another painting also for sale on Bluethumb from the same collection: "My favourite bit near the stream" they work well hung together as a pair.
