Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

This painting featuring a Spotted Pardalote, is a continuation on a theme from a series of works titled 'biba' which explores pattern and identity. I come from a design and print background and my art practice tends to spill back over into design territory on occasion. This particular pattern is an adaptation of a traditional Japanese motif and features heavily in my works on paper in various incarnations.

You may notice a faint Copyright watermark on the hero photo. This is on the digital file only and not the painting. I don't like adding watermarks to my images, but unfortunately I have issues with overseas manufacturers downloading without my permission and infringing copyright. If you look through all the images you can see close ups of the painting cropped without the watermark.
