Delicate layered watercolour and gouache painting of a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo with peppertree botanicals on thick textured cotton watercolour paper. Painted in calming shades of blue.

My work is very much connected to the place I live and features the backyard birds and plants common to my inner city neighbourhood.
Our nature is found amongst the street art, peeping through factory buildings and growing defiantly and disorderly out of the concrete.
I am inspired by Oriental art and enjoy working with Chinese calligraphy brushes, predominantly using line to make my images.
