Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

Black Cockatoos signify rain coming and there are lots of drought affected regions across this country hoping for these guys to show up right now. I've painted this work with a dry looking landscape and turned my attention to the beautiful light and shadow play that appears on Gum trees.

My current works feature expressive line and pattern within the Australian Landscape and are painted with feelings of respect and admiration for our precious natural treasures, but also with sadness and despair about our distressing extinction rates and destructive corporate interests.

**** My works on paper are sold unframed unless specified in the listing. Paper is easier and safer to ship than heavy glass frames, and I also prefer to leave it up to the collector to choose the frame to suit their own decor. However if you'd prefer to purchase this work already framed, please get in touch for a quote as I'm also happy to arrange the framing for you with my local framer. Turn around time is usually around 2-3 weeks ****
