The sight of a solitary lily emblazened by the sun rising above the plants in my courtyard garden inspired this painting. Bold, beautiful and strong I loved everything about this proud little flower.
This is a large bold high-chroma painting as I have tried to capture the lushness and depth of the colours I saw that day.
