'Sun Kissed Ripples' is a painting of a rock pool situated in The Great Keppel Islands situated in the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Sun Kissed Ripples has been created to compliment the series The Rejected Tourist Bucket List. Exploring The Great Keppel Islands by foot or boat allows you the true beauty to see; the rugged rock, white sandy dunes and the pockets of sun kissed ripples on the crystal clear water. A memory that will last a lifetime. I wanted to capture the sense of beauty of the tranquil waters that so many tourists from all over the world come to see.
The Rejected Tourist Bucket List is an ironic take on a tourist attraction that has been destroyed by the elements. The Middle Islands Underwater Observatory is nestled within the Great Keppel Islands group. It was closed in 2008. It was once a significant, local tourist attraction. This ‘must see’ bucket list attraction is now battered and abandoned. Sun Kissed Ripples was inspired on a tour exploring the rugged and beautiful coastline of Great Keppel Island.
Artwork is signed on the front.
