The development and exploration of color, composition, line and mass, creating works that I find stimulating to paint with an end result which is evocative, uplifting and powerful.

This painting was started earlier this year but came to a halt when our beautiful world had to deal with the stark realities of coronavirus. Many times I went to my studio but felt emotionally not able to deal with the creative mood necessary to immerse myself. It has only been in the past few weeks that I have found my longing to pick up a brush again has returned and I am now able to focus on doing what I love, painting.

The mood of the painting aims to inspire optimism, tranquility and belief in a return to a positive future for all.
