"The Cat, 2023" is an artwork that delves into the captivating narrative of cats as unexpected travellers, their presence intertwining with the exploration of new lands. Central to this artwork is a symbolic representation of Captain James Cook's voyages and the Golden-Shouldered Parrot, which is on the brink of extinction with only 50 remaining on the Artemis cattle station in far north Queensland.
