Hanging on is what nature does when the environment is not ideal for growth. A tree still grows but not to its full potential but it lives despite the conditions. As humans we do the same thing. We hang on. Stay in situations where the environment is not ideal for growth. We gradually change when we stay there for too long. But there is always potential for new growth with a different environment.
