Artwork Description

“Sunset Echoes” – Some moments are fleeting - gone before we even realise their beauty. The way light shifts across the horizon at sunset, the trace of footprints in the sand, the quiet hush of dawn before the world wakes up. I wanted to capture that ephemeral essence, to hold onto something that was never meant to stay.
Rich earthy tones of amber, sand, and soft ivory and white blend seamlessly, creating a sense of movement and depth. The layered brushstrokes evoke the shifting light of dusk, reminiscent of sunlit landscapes and evening warmth. A perfect balance of texture and radiance, bringing a grounding energy to any space.

The artwork is equipped with large D-rings on the back for easy and secure wall mounting.

Artist Bio

Serena Elle is a Sydney-based contemporary abstract artist and mum to a spirited seven-year-old. With a background in visual arts, she has developed a distinctive style defined by ethereal, earthy large-scale paintings and a restrained, minimalist palette.

Working in sun-bleached tones of sand, clay, and washed ochre, Serena creates spaces you can fall into - places that feel both familiar and like dreams you almost remember. Created as statement pieces for coastal, minimalist and design-led interiors, each work carries a sense of calm, depth and light.

Her work unfolds through subtle shifts; delicate washes, worn textures, and sgraffito markings that feel like traces of a hidden language just beneath the surface. Layers of pigment are built up and etched back, exposing fragments of earlier marks and colour beneath. Each piece carries an intentional rawness that makes the work feel alive.

Her work has been featured in editorial styling collaborations for House & Garden Australia and selected by leading interior designers and stylists for publication. She has exhibited in group shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and her paintings are held in private collections across Australia, the United States and Singapore.

Serena is currently developing a new body of work for upcoming exhibitions.
