Many Australian birds are threatened or endangered and are facing future decline if we donโt make changes to protect them. Here I've painted Regent Honeyeaters, with their brilliant flashes of yellow embroidery. Today the Regent Honeyeater has become a 'flagship species' for conservation. Loss of their woodland habitat is the major threat to this species and here I've painted vertical lines and colour glitches to raise awareness of their possible demise. The placement of the birds in an abstract setting bring about an awkward disposition.
