Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This richly coloured, textured painting was inspired by the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos who are a common site, hanging out in Jacarandas all over Australia. Jacarandas are such romantic trees, they are equally at home in the garden of a period style home as they are in a park or in today's changing landscape of modern houses. Cockatoos are playful, noisy and sometimes comical with their antics. Harmonising contemporary pallet knife texture with romantic impressionistic style was my goal for this painting. The colours are vibrant, with soft light popping through the colourful mauve and pink blossoms, throwing shadows on the tree branches and the chatting birds. During the COVID lockdowns in 2020 the simple joy of walking daily and enjoying nature is even more precious.
The colourful scene continues around all sides and comes ready to hang, with a Certificate of Authenticity.
