ODYSSEY 2018

My first work of 2018 marking my second full year as a working artist. I spent a lot of time exploring last year - trying different things, experiencing trail and of course error. Towards the end of 2017 I became determined to attach more personal meaning to my art. I resolved to share the real emotional issues that plague me through my paintings. So this work "Odyssey 2018" marks the beginning of that journey to explore the anguish and cruelty inflicted by parental alienation and narcissistic abuse. They are darkish themes and things are likely to get a little rough in the studio - but ultimately I start where I aim to finish. Looking up, looking forward. With optimism.

CONTEMPORARY AUSTRALIAN ARTIST

Sharon is a visual artist from Sydney, best known for her stylised paintings of Australian Goddesses immersed in nature. Sharon grew up in suburban Sydney then travelled the world extensively where she developed a love of tribal markings and jewellery. Body decoration and self expression feature largely in her work. She returned to Australia to launch her magazine publishing business and later ran her own graphic design studio in North Sydney for 15 years. Sharon now works full-time as an artist from her studio in inner city Sydney.

Sharon's work has been bought by collectors in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Spain, England, France, Scotland, Qatar, The Netherlands, USA, Germany and Taiwan.
