This portrait is based on my good friend and talented poet, Dr Rose Lucas. Rose sat for me for this portrait and whilst it does not do her justice, it does speak to me of the way her thoughts and feelings come straight from her heart and land on the page. To read her poetry (or better still, to hear her read it) is like sublime voyeurism.
