Broken Head in the Northern Rivers has such a chilled vibe, and that was the inspiration for this painting. The sandy winding walkway down to the beach is such an invitation to relax and enjoy. It feels like you could just walk down for a swim there and then. Hidden birds and kite surfers amidst the painterly image of a sunny day.
The background is a series of layered watery acrylic paint, with sketch like markings depicting the foreground. The frame sits flush with the canvas, it's a simple 1cm wide timber which has been made to look weathered and coastal.
