Hiding in Her Own Little World

This started from a very small 1930s black and white photo of a little girl hiding behind a tree. She was so sweet, innocent, unaware of the fact that the tree wasn't big enough to hide her, that I had to reimagine the whole composition in a more contemporary manner. Kids haven't changed much in 90 years!

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to cut back in order to explore other things that pique my interest. I will continue to post occasional new works here, however with the increased costs of commission, materials etc, my more affordable works unfortunately aren't financially worth listing here on Bluethumb. For similar reasons, I am no longer accepting commissions. My apologies.
