Touching Base - book mum read child library

Booktopia took a poll of 2017s favorite Australian authors and Graeme Base came in 15th with 'Animalia'. As I had an old copy of the book, I decided to use it in a collage with some 1980s library catalogue cards to acknowledge his beautiful work.

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to cut back in order to explore other things that pique my interest. I will continue to post occasional new works here, however with the increased costs of commission, materials etc, my more affordable works unfortunately aren't financially worth listing here on Bluethumb. For similar reasons, I am no longer accepting commissions. My apologies.
