This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Mexico. The boldness of colour and beauty in the details of everyday life there and the warmth and joy it brings.
With it I am trying to capture the delicate connection between women and flowers and how flowers represent feminine power.
This woman; Juana was photographed (with consent) by me at the flower market and I have adjusted the rest of the composition to suit what I wanted to portray.
