One evening as my daughter Jade walked outside a juvenile green frog jumped onto the sleeve of her nightgown. This was painted to capture the memory of that brief moment when Jade was able to glance down at the Frog before it leapt away. I wanted to focus to be on Jades face and the Frog as those details were etched into memory while other details are kept loose and fade away, as they did in that moment. My paintings of children are vibrant and vivid with colour.
