What could be better than a tree painting to soothe you after a work day or a day of drama. There is actually a therapy called tree bathing and I think this is my way of allowing you to bring this SERENITY into your home and enjoy a little corner of nature in your own home. Let the soothing comfort of nature calm your soul.

Golden fields, a shady river’s reach and a clear Australian sky. The river is bordered by trees with flowing branches that appear to weep at the side of the river. You begin to contemplate all that they may have seen. It’s a quiet reflective piece that is soothing and calming.

A typical coastal area where there is a swampy marsh area where the land meets the sea. There is a rocky outcrop surrounded by a host of white gums and Ironbarks. It has all the colours and elements of an outback scene coming to meet the coastline. You can feel the steaminess coming off the water and hear the crackle of the leaves and grass. A summer scene full of energy.

A wintry image with outlying farm buildings on the edge of a lake. There is an olde world feel to this piece with its gentle colour and calming air. There are two pines standing guard over the barn and the edges of the lake on both sides are tall and spare of leaves. I love the feel of this piece and I hope you enjoy it too.

The treatment of the scene elevates the piece to a modern take on an olde world, classic piece that has been given a fresh take.

There is a music to this scene of the bush so that you can hear the soft swaying of the blue gums, insect sounds and bird calls in this little piece of the Australian bush. I love the Hinterland with its semi rain forests and creeks and this painting is reminiscent of those beautiful times spent on bush walks. this particular tree called out to me to paint it and to me its unique and unusual twists reflect the character of the bush which I think assumes its own identity. Through the painting process, it became an old friend and i hope someone else can feel this in viewing the painting.
