Artwork Description

Oil on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Typical of a day at the beach, in the distance you can see the land on the other side of the bay., whilst in the foreground the waves are rolling in and breaking over and round the rocks on the shore.
By using the pale blue of the sky to the darker blue of the deeper water and the warm glow of the sand the painting would sit well with the tones in most homes. The painting would capture the viewer and lead them to a place that we all enjoy

At the end of the day at the beach the sun is peaking out from behind the clouds casting sun rays in all directions. Some of the rays are shining down onto the water whilst others are lightning up a beautiful flock of seagulls that are flying off through the air.
The painting is in beautiful shades of grey and blue toning with crisp white of the waves and sun rays.
On a table top there is a stack of old books that have a rust coloured pottery vase of beautiful white flowers sitting on top , there is another stack of books leaning upward to one side and another rustic on the opposite end that is empty..
Walking on the beach at the end of a beautiful day whilst on holidays in sunny Queensland the seagulls were all splashing around on the shoreline. The waves were breaking out the back, the rocks forming a break so that the water is calm in the shallows
I took this photo and have always really liked it, I have painted it a couple of times now with different colours and different seagull formations .
In This painting I’ve used a pallet of blue, greys, whites and sand colouring on the beach
This painting always has a calm ,tranquil feel to it
