Artwork Description

The emu is Australia's largest flightless bird and comes across as awkward. Emus have amusing faces and if they could talk, would no doubt have some tall stories to tell.

Scratchboard - A scratchboard is a Masonite Board, covered with a layer of white clay and thinly covered with a layer of black ink. The image is scratched into the board to reveal the white clay using a selection of scratching tools, like knives and sandpaper. Coloured India ink or watercolours are used to add colour and depth to the board.
