Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

My love of the outdoors and nature and going to the beach. my travels up and down the coast road between Sydney and Wollongong and this is a glimpse of one of the Northern beaches. This oil painting is built up of many layers of wet in wet and wet over dry and full of all the magic and detail of lush vegetation that spills down the Wollongong escarpment in the more suburban areas. The boulder strewn creek inspired me for its awesome scale and sculptural qualities and I think that it rivals anything I have ever seen in a man made landscape project or even in a Japanese style garden anywhere.
