Subtle use of delicate colours is a feature of this painting and delicate bronze highlights add to the air of mystery. There is a feeling of being in the landscape or garden.Inspired by both nature and my imagination, vibrant colours form shapes and lines which might suggest waterways and trees. Complimentary colours such as ochres and blues are in perfect balance with deep burgundy and tones of brown.Ochres, pinks and greens were built up, forming an image of ancient mountains. A body of water in a gentle blue is placed towards the front, and the foreground consists of wispy grasses and vegetation.This small square abstract is painted in blues pinks and mauves. The lines and shapes could be interpreted as trees and other natural forms found in a landscape. Equally it can be viewed as simply a colourful abstract.
