About

Sung Lee is a Sydney based contemporary painter, sculptor and mixed media artist. She studied art throughout her life. Initially, she began painting portraiture to establish her cultural identity. From then her work gradually has developed to more abstract forms and at the same time she expanded her artistic focus to appreciation and observation of nature. As she travelled extensively, she became more aware of her surroundings and began to love nature and notice intricate details, which she translates into her art practice. Sung has been awarded several times and was the recipient of a Merit Award in the Moreton Bay Art Prize, Brisbane Australia. She has exhibited her art work in several group exhibitions including the “Fifth Perspectives” in Fortitude Valley. She also has showcased her solo exhibition “Lost Identity” in Brisbane. Her work is mainly in private residences in Sydney and Brisbane but also has been collected by several public sectors such as Brisbane North Institute of Technical and Further Education, Brisbane and Southbank Institute of Technology, Brisbane. Presently, she works and resides in Sydney and is currently producing a body of “Nature”.
