I’m intrigued by blurred and pixelated images and how our eyes fill in the missing bits for us. This little painting is a study of a water lily pond (with influences from Monet’s colour palette} through that lens. From a distance you can see it clearly, up close there’s just a view of little squares of colour ranging from blues through greens to deep reds and pink. It was an absolute labour of love
