This painting is completely different to my other paintings. I felt compelled to created something native, fanciful and whimsical with an ample amount of bright colours. If you have ever seen a galah out in the bush, you know that they are brash and sassy as they perform antics high up in the trees, conversing as they play with their families. I named this painting Lady Ga-Ga Lah because that is who this sassy bird reminds me of
