These paintings were created in many layers, imparting both depth and lightness. This layering technique results in an airy, organic feel with a beautiful flow that draws the viewer in. It is bright yet balanced, subdued, and tranquil. The majority of the marks are light and transparent, done so intentionally to create lightness. Some surface marks, though, are textured to create greater impact.
