Artwork Description

Part of a 'sustainability' series. Looking at the a positive solution to the subject. Chose to paint statues inspired by Greek Mythology, as we have sustained and preserved actual statues over time, a picture of how we should treat the earth.

This piece is representing water consumption, and if we look after our water we will be looking after the environment and also have healthier plants. Wanted to have someone young to represent the next generation who will also have healthier bodies.

Using shapes and colour for the background to modernise the work and also to bring the subject to the foreground.

Painting has an extra 80mm (not shown) on all edges ready to be stretched. Would go well with a natural floating frame.

Artist Bio

I'm a abstract realist artist and have drawn for most of my life, but started painting in 2011. Working with acrylics and oils on portraits and abstract sea pieces. I continue to experiment and push my work to become a better artist every time I paint. Inspired by the great Michelangelo who at the age of 87 while painting the St. Peters Bascilica said, ‘Ancora Imparo - I am still learning’.

Based in Adelaide and sells nation and worldwide.
