Artwork Description

This is a large scale abstract collage depicting water, boats, buildings, docks etc , which characterize the meeting of human structures and the sea in the dockland area of Melbourne
As a subjective, abstract response, I used aerial perspective to create a design of blue and white water attenuated by blocks of white, orange and black structures. The design attempts to draw the viewer's eye through the picture plane using the white and blue areas, arrested by the more geometric patterns to suggest the movement of ships and boats
