This painting is a original creation by me (Tina)! It was painted with love and lots of energy for the wonderful person who wants this vibrant artwork for a special room in their home or office.
NOW, ABOUT THE PAINTING:
I love my public library. Especially when they have a ‘fill a bag’ for $5. I am able to pick up some amazing non-fiction books about Australia and other places around the globe. The visual inspiration for ‘Mount Field National Park’ was from one of these books. Whilst my painting is not a realistic representation, the shapes and textures are taken from this alpine Tasmanian landscape. The flowing lines at the bottom capture the movement of the rock pool, the vertical lines are the bare trees and the musty purples at the top are the mists over the top of the mountain.
I hope you enjoy looking at this painting as much as I enjoyed created it!
ABOUT THE PAINTINGS QUALITY:
The canvas is artist grade gallery cotton with the following:
• Canvas Weight 380gsm - 100% Cotton Canvas
• 3 coats of Titanium White Acrylic Primed Gesso
• New Zealand Pine Kiln Dried Stretcher Bars 35mm deep
• Gallery stretched for painting on the canvas edge
• Double stapled on the back of the stretcher
The paint I use is also artist quality and the artwork is protected with 2 coats of Liquidex Gloss Varnish.
ONE LAST THING:
The placement of the painting in the interior image may not be 100% to scale, but it does look amazing doesn’t it!
