Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Cape Byron protrudes into the Pacifc Ocean and forms the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. Byron Bay is still strongly influenced by its recent past when hippie lifestyles flourished. But more importantly while I was sitting on the beach a young bather walked past wearing a yellow bikini and although I don’t consider myself an aging hippie, a 1960’s song popped into my head. Slowly I started to hum... It was a itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polkadot bikini that she wore for the first time today.... and that is the inspiration for this painting.
The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
