The large dish expertly balanced on this womans head inspired me to paint this colourful portrait of tradition.
The painting depicts a young Zulu mother cradling her baby in a sling across her chest. She is attired in green with matching headdress, large traditional ear pierced earrings and her upper arms adorned with multiple polished brass bracelets.
The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Specifications:
The canvas is stretched on quality heavy duty kiln dried solid pine frame and stretcher bars. Then triple coated with a quality gesso primer on 380gsm high density premium environmentally friendly unbleached cotton duck canvas.
The gallery style corners are folded to the back and the edges are staple free (double back stapled) allowing edges to be painted for a modern contemporary look. Finally for protection the entire painting has been double coated with a premium quality uv satin varnish.
The painting is ready to hang with picture hanging wire and sturdy ‘D’ rings attached.
