Artwork Description

I am constantly fascinated by nature. The curves and curls of flower petals highlighted by the fall of light. New and complex shapes emerge. Peony roses have such a romance to them.
This painting was created using multiple transparent layers of watercolour. By working transparently‚ i can build subtle layers of colour and form.
I like to leave an unpainted edge around my watercolour paintings as this allows for mounting and framing.
The measurements of the painting including the surrounding edge are 75.4cm x 55.8cm
