Hollyhock Spring

Hollyhocks have long been one of my favourite flowers to paint. Their stately blooms tower over other flowers in the garden.
The light falling on the petals casts shadows and shapes which makes an interesting composition. The rich pinks and greens are a statement afainst a white wall.

Vicki is a Queensland based artist who draws on sense of place‚ nature and the human form as inspiration for her artwork. Her love of flowers is evident in many of her artworks.
Vicki works out of her studio in Cleveland ‚ where she also holds regular workshops and classes. Vicki works across many mediums including pastel‚ watercolour‚ oil and graphite and pencil.
Vicki was a finalist in the Lethbridge 10000‚ 2015 and Winner of People choice for Brisbane at the Cliftons 10000‚ Brisbane‚ 2014.
