The serenity of the Goulburn River in Seymour, atmospheric and picturesque. When did you last admire the Goulburn River? Follow the Seymour Town Trail (also known as the Goulburn River Trail) for approximately 2.5kms as it meanders beside the beautiful river. In places gently undulating, the Trail is a well-made granitic sand and gravel path that is great place to stroll, jog or ride with friends, or the family, or a peaceful solo outing, maybe just you and your faithful pooch.
Take a break at one of the many well positioned seats that let you take in the wonderful river views. At the western end of the trail, just before the Seymour Tooborac Road bridge, is the picturesque junction of the river and Sugarloaf Creek. At the eastern end of the trail, where the Goulburn River meets Whitehead Creek you’ll find a quiet fishing spot. Join the trail at any number of entry points, including the end of Bolton Street, Apex Park or Lions Park.
