Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork comes with an external frame

While painting the model Danielle, I was reminded of the African lullaby my nanny used to sing for me when I was a small child growing up in Africa. I adored my nanny Mary, a Masai woman. The Agapanthus, or African Lily, symbolises love, purity, beauty and fertility, and the dove on Danielle's knee represents peace, spirituality, hope, renewal or a new life, transformation and love.
