This is part of a series of highly detailed observations of the things we all walk over or otherwise dismiss. It is about the beauty of decay and fallen blossoms, of the importance of the process to regeneration. Also the abstraction to be found in form. Technically it is unique being a Watercolour process of working in reverse using no white paint just the canvas surface but built up colour using thin oil glazes. This produces a beautiful rich transparent glow.
