The Victory Leap

In The Victory Leap, the moment of triumph is distilled into its most essential forms. This work utilises a minimalist, abstract-figurative style, focusing on a fluid, elongated figure that surges across the composition. By employing flat, saturated colours and clear outlines, the piece emphasises the raw energy of success over literal representation.

True to my practice of working from mental visualisation rather than photographic references, this painting is an architectural rendering of an internal feeling—the expansive, weightless joy of a win. The bold contrast between the deep black silhouette and the vibrant red focal points creates a rhythmic, graphic quality that invites the viewer to feel the velocity of the leap.
