"One of Four Pink Blooms" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.
I find Proteas fascinating, and this goes for many other native flowers as well. THey all have something special to offer. Frequently mistaken for an Australian native flower, Proteas originate from South Africa and grow beautifully in Australia. Some Australian natives like Banksias, Grevilleas, and Waratahs share a familial link with Proteas, as they are all part of the same botanical family.
My style of painting combines both loose strokes and detailed ones, as I aim to capture the delicate nature of my subject. I am slowly loosening the reigns on myself and allowing the magical nature of the medium to do its own thing. Here I've used watercolour and smooth flowing lines of ink.
The painting will arrive in a flat pack in a supported clear cello wrap and include a certificate of authenticity.
