Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

Path of Tranquility by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting. It measures 27cm x 37cm and requires framing to hang.

It was my daughter who captured this scene in a park on one of her walks along the coast in Sydney. Late afternoon sunrays filter through the trees and light bounces off the wrought iron fence and greenery growing through the vertical pickets. A walk along a meandering path alternating between rays of light and cooling shade. The path is going somewhere....do you know where?

There are lots of very warm and cool colours in this painting creating a point of balance for the viewer. I chose not to introduce any figures, or birds , just keep it sublimely simple.
