Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

"Red Hibiscus" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

Red is a bold, strong colour and in some cultures, the red Hibiscus flower symbolizes power, respect, love and spirituality. I have tried to depict the sensuality of this bloom with many different variations of red, softening the boldness, allowing it to easily fit in to any situation where a little colour is desired.

Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.

Images:  For better online viewing, the painting has been scanned depicting the colours as true as possible. The painting will be delivered flat and ready for framing.
