"The Chosen One - Wrens" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour and ink painting and requires framing to hang.

I have taken a more abstract approach with these three little wrens. The complimentary orange blue colours have created a mysterious background, where you can imagine anything, and only one of these fellows is in his breeding plumage. The other two are looking on, only to wait another year.

Only breeding males showcase the extraordinary brilliant blue on their head, ear coverts and mantle. ab

Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and brightens up a space in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
