Artwork Description

This work is influenced by my interest in the divine feminine - the matriarchal Goddess who makes an appearance in nearly every culture since antiquity. She takes many forms‚ and is often closely associated with animals and birds‚ in this case the swan. In some mythology‚ the door to heaven is associated with Cygnus‚ the constellation of the Swan.
