"Mermaid with Pearl" was one of those paintings that just popped into my head and evolved with the tropical fish and various corals and shells that I'd imagine would surround a mermaid reclining on the bottom of the ocean. My mermaid's tail is highly textured and looks like true scales in person. I love the vibrant colours in this oil painting and I loved painting it... It was a real pleasure. Hope you like it too. :)
