This painting has two meanings for me.
The Swan looking into it's own distorted refection made me think, every time we look into the mirror we too look at a distorted reflection. We put so much pressure on our selves to be beautiful and perfect that we become our own worst enemies, we become our own Nemesis.
Plus when I was a small child I was attacked by a Swan and now even though I love the beauty and grace of this Magnificent bird, they are still my Nemesis
