Art for Bushfire Relief Raises $33,510

Australia is ablaze as the worst bushfire season on record grips the country. With lives lost, entire towns and habitats destroyed and hundreds of thousands displaced, this terrifying ordeal has sparked the compassion and generosity of the entire world.

Returning to the office after the Christmas break last Monday, we were moved by the number of artists who had messaged us wanting to help by donating an artwork. So we had an impromptu meeting about what we could do and decided to put together an Art for Bushfire Relief curation, featuring artworks donated by these artists, and create a donate page with links to organisations working to support the efforts of Aussie heroes, where 100% of the proceeds raised (every cent of the artwork sale prices) from the curation would be split equally between.

And WOW. We were absolutely blown away by your support and in 48 hours sold 48 artworks. So to keep the momentum going, last Thursday 20 new artworks were added, donated by more of our incredible community of caring artists. A huge heartfelt thanks to all 80 artists who generously donated works (and countless others who got in touch after we launched – sorry we couldn’t include you all!).

The curation closed at 12pm today so we can promptly donate now during this time of need.

Together we’ve sold 63 artworks, raising $33,510 for the bushfire relief effort.

Thanks so much to everyone who made this possible, whether you donated, bought or helped us spread the word. It’s been inspiring and humbling to see true Aussie spirit as we all band together in the face of this national crisis.

If you’d like to give to the relief effort, please head to our donate page for links to lots of ways you can help.
