The ocean is a fascinating place and trying to capture it's mercurial nature is an endless source of wonder and captivation for me. Here there is a storm brewing, with a deepening sky and churning energy in the water. I've used liquid acrylics to mimic the motion of the waves, with the colours flowing and mingling and merging in a dramatic design. By pouring my paint thickly, it dries with a tactile surface creating fissures and cracks that beckon you to trace the patterns and texture. This painting would make a stunning statement in any room. Please note that the dark colour is charcoal not black, which is hard to photograph. The paint has been allowed to flow down and cover the sides.
