As a young man I hunted the Yungun with my brothers from the Kabool (carpet snake) , Quampi (pearl shell) and Dadobila (porpoise) clans of Quandamooka. It is our Customery Law from the Dream Time that only young male Yungun (dugong) can be taken. This is so that the herd can be sustained. Today we see their numbers declining and we know that one day the Yungun Dreaming will only be a Dreamtime story.
