Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

This is one of my series of paintings of The Rocks. Most of them sold by now.
The Rocks is Sydney's oldest neighbourhood. It is where the European settlers chose to step ashore in 1788, making it the birthplace of Sydney. Markets, museums, art galleries, restaurants and pubs, tucked into its cobbled laneways, make The Rocks a vibrant and thriving entertainment precinct. Also, this is the place where you get the most spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.
I used Matisse acrylic paints for this painting, like I do with most of my acrylic paintings, because of its texture and lightfasteness.
